The 53-year-old victim, who has not yet been identified, was jogging along Dairyville rd, Upper Orara, a farming area west of Coffs Harbour, at 6.40am when she was fatally hit.

The driver allegedly failed to stop. But Coffs Harbour police say a woman from the area came forward this morning.

She has had drug and alcohol blood tests but Acting Inspector Dallas Leven said no charges have been laid while the investigation proceeds.
