Sunday shopping is set to start in Perth in less than two months’ time.
WA will finally join the majority of the rest of the country when all metropolitan shops are able to open on Sundays and public holidays, reportedly starting August 26.
The WA government had originally intended to introduce legislation allowing for Sunday trading if it won March’s state election.
But a surprise decision by the Labor party to block its traditional opposition to the plan has meant the government was able to bring thestart date forward.
